Five Nights at Freddy's creator Winfield Scott Cawthon has official a report that atomic number 2 successful significant contributions to Republican political action committees and candidates including Devin Nunes, Ben Carson, Mitch McConnell, and Donald Trump, and said that atomic number 2's prepared to "get cancelled" and retire from the Five Nights community if people conceive that helium's doing many harm to it than good.
Some of Cawthon's publicly available contribution records were divided on Twitter on June 10, and can also be seen at opensecrets.org. It's Republican across the board, except for a $2,500 contribution to Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, and along with a large slate of item-by-item candidates also includes the WinRed Political action committee and the National Democratic Senatorial Committee. George C. Scott Cawthon is not "just a political party". If you see thousands of $ in political donations equally being "just a republican", you're being willfully nescient.Direct contributions to those who actively stomach repressing citizenry's rights is far more than "being of a variant party"June 10, 2021
Cawthon acknowledged that disappointment in a content posted to Reddit earlier today, in which he confirmed that the contribution reports are dead-on.
"To allege that the last few years have been surreal would be an understatement," he wrote. "I've debated greatly how optimal to address this, including not addressing it the least bit, but with so many another citizenry from the LGBT community in the fanbase that I love, that's not an choice.
"I'd like to think that the last seven years would cause given me the benefit of the doubt in regards to how I try to treat people, but thither I was, trending happening twitter for being a homophobe, getting doxed, with people threatening to touch on my house. My married woman is six weeks pregnant and she tired parting night in fear because of what was being aforesaid online. She has already been troubled with her pregnancy thus seeing her so afraid really afraid me. Altogether this because I exercised my suited, and my duty, equally an American citizen, to right to vote for and support the candidates who I felt could best run the country, for everyone, and that's something that I won't apologize for."
Cawthon said the candidates atomic number 2 substantiated included "men, women, white people, clad people, republicans, and democrats," and helium specifically defended his backing of Kimberly Klacik ("I believed that she really cared for the African American biotic community in that respect and wanted to pull them out of poverty") and Tulsi Gabbard, who he says he felt "would take in been a good and fair chairperson" straight-grained though he disagreed with her on specific policies.
Helium also commented on what is no doubt the most contentious part of the report, his support of then-president Donald Trump out.
"I felt he was the best man to fire a strong economy and stand busy America's enemies beyond the sea, of which there are many," atomic number 2 wrote. "Even if there were candidates WHO had better things to say to the LGBT community directly, and bigger promises to fix, I believed that their stances on other issues would have ended ahead doing much greater harm to those communities than good."
Cawthon claimed to be supportive of creators regardless of their background, and same that as a result he's worked with "a very diverse group of mass" all over the course of his career. He said that's not going to change, only neither leave his approach to other aspects of his liveliness.
"I'm a democratic. I'm a Christian. I'm pro-life. I conceive in God," He wrote. "I too believe in equality, and in science, and in gumption. Despite what some may say, all of those things can go together. That's not an apology or predict to change, it's the way information technology's always been.
"If I come cancelled, then I get cancelled. I don't do this for the money anymore; I do it because I enjoy it. If citizenry think I'm doing more harm than good now, and so perhaps IT's better that I get cancelled and retire. I would accept that. I've had a fulfilling career. Too, most things that people can take from you are things that ne'er had much value to begin with."
While the immediate reaction on Chitter was largely negative, the response to Cawthon's situatio on Reddit has been very different. Many posters expressed gratitude for the Five Nights games and Cawthon's reactivity to fans, and while there are some indications of disappointment, there seems to be virtually atomic number 102 involvement in "cancelling" him. There are besides a few comparisons to Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson, who was excised from his creation (after selling it to Microsoft for $2.5 billion) over multiple widely criticized posts along social media, and hopes that Cawthon South Korean won't suffer a related fate.
"It's like Minecraft without Notch," one wrote about Cawthon's possible animadversion. "It's a huge hole in the community that we send away't fill to this day."
The stylish Five Nights at Freddy's plot, Certificate Breach, is presently expected to be call at of late 2021.
